Description
American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift assignment requiring an active LA or compact RN license and 2 years of specialty experience.
Details
- Med/Surg Tele unit
- Night shift, 3x12 hours (18:45-7:15)
- Every other weekend required
- 1:5 patient ratio
- No call-in requirement
- No floating required
- Low pediatric patient population; PALS preferred if assigned a pediatric patient
- Epic charting system experience preferred
Requirements
- Active RN license (LA or compact) required at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of specialty experience required
- Current ACLS, BLS, and CPI certifications required
- PALS certification preferred
- AHA-issued certifications required
- Up-to-date NURSYS report required
- Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility as measured by driver's license address
- RTO must be finalized and discussed during the interview process to avoid offer rescindment
- Candidates who previously worked as permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
- Orientation is held five days a week
- May be assigned to an emergency response team during declared emergency events, with an expectation to remain onsite until relief arrives
- Two manager or supervisor references (not charge RNs) required prior to starting the contract
