Details
- Work in a 48-bed cardiac focused stepdown unit with 4 pulmonary care beds and 10 cardiac surgery beds (cardiac surgery beds not required)
- 3x12 hour shifts on an AM/PM rotation
- 36 hours per week over a 13-week assignment
- Frequent IV drips include Heparin, Milrinone, Lasix, and Bumex
- Common diagnoses include CHF, NSTEMI, arrhythmias, and vascular surgery cases
- Cerner EMR used
Requirements
- Active RN license in DC required, no pending licenses accepted
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA only)
- 2 years of RN experience required
- 2 years of cardiac telemetry experience required
- Cerner experience required
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
- BSN highly desired
- Two manager or supervisor references required, verifying experience within the last 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
