- Design engaging lesson plans that incorporate hands-on and inquiry based projects.
- Utilize modern learning technology and instructional design principles to enhance classroom engagement and facilitate interactive learning experiences.
- Assess student progress through standardized testing, formative assessments, and project-based evaluations; provide constructive feedback to support growth.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering an inclusive environment that encourages curiosity, collaboration, and respect among students.
- Mentor students academically and personally, offering guidance on research projects, science competitions, and college preparation.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, extracurricular activities, and school-wide initiatives to community.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Studies/History Education or a related field.
- Proven classroom experience teaching middle or high school social studies with a strong understanding of curriculum development and instructional design.
- Familiarity with educational technology tools for instruction and assessment; experience integrating learning technology into lesson plans is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills for effective instruction, mentoring, parent engagement, and collaboration with staff.
- Ability to manage classroom behavior proactively while maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Experience working with diverse student populations including special education needs.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development through research participation, curriculum refinement, or higher education teaching opportunities.
