Which companies sponsor visas for COOs in Arizona?
Large enterprises with established immigration programs are the most consistent sponsors for COO roles in Arizona. Companies like Intel, Microchip Technology, and Banner Health have sponsored senior operations leaders in the past. National financial institutions with significant Phoenix-area operations, including JPMorgan Chase and American Express, also maintain the legal infrastructure to support executive-level visa petitions, though sponsorship decisions are made case by case.
Which visa types are most common for COO roles in Arizona?
The H-1B visa is the most common work visa for COO positions, provided the role requires a specific bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as business administration, engineering, or finance. Senior candidates with multinational corporate experience may also qualify for the L-1A intracompany transferee visa if moving from a foreign affiliate. Individuals with extraordinary executive achievement may explore the O-1A category.
Which cities in Arizona have the most COO sponsorship jobs?
Phoenix and Scottsdale concentrate the majority of COO-level opportunities in Arizona, driven by corporate headquarters, regional offices, and the financial services industry. Tempe and Chandler have emerged as technology and semiconductor hubs, attracting operations leadership from companies like Intel and Microchip Technology. Tucson offers a smaller but active market tied to defense contractors, university-affiliated organizations, and healthcare systems.
How to find coo visa sponsorship jobs in Arizona?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship, making it a focused starting point for COO roles in Arizona. The platform filters opportunities by state and role, surfacing employers that have a demonstrated history of sponsoring work visas for senior positions. Searching for COO and executive operations roles in the Phoenix metro on Migrate Mate surfaces the employers most likely to engage with international candidates.
What should international candidates know before pursuing a COO role in Arizona?
COO positions are typically classified as specialty occupations under the H-1B program, but the sponsoring employer must demonstrate that the role genuinely requires a specific degree field, not just any bachelor's degree. Arizona's prevailing wage determinations for executive roles can be significant, and employers must attest to meeting those wages on the Labor Condition Application filed with the Department of Labor before a visa petition can proceed.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored coo jobs in Arizona?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
