About the Team
The Dasher & Logistics team is responsible for ensuring every delivery is completed with speed, accuracy, and a high-quality experience for Consumers, Merchants, and Dashers.
The Global Live Operations team serves as the execution arm of the Live Operations Strategy & Operations (S&O) team, supporting real-time decision-making and operational continuity across the marketplace.
We partner closely with S&O stakeholders to execute structured workflows, monitor live operations, and respond to disruptions such as severe weather, holidays, and demand spikes—ensuring strategic decisions are implemented accurately and consistently in real time.
About the Role
As a Team Lead on the Global Live Operations team, you will manage a small team of Specialists responsible for executing structured, real-time workflows that support DoorDash's logistics operations.
This is a highly execution-focused, player-coach role. You will oversee daily operations, ensure workflows are completed accurately and consistently, and step in directly when needed—especially during high-impact events or when coverage is limited.
You will maintain a high bar for performance, reinforce consistent execution of playbooks, and address issues in real time. You will be managing performance in a high-volume, repetitive workflow environment where consistency and attention to detail are critical.
Success in this role requires strong prioritization, attention to detail, and the ability to lead a team operating in a fast-paced, shift-based environment.
You will report to an S&O Associate Manager.
You're excited about this opportunity because you will…
- Manage your team's execution of recurring workflows that support delivery quality and marketplace health
- Step in to execute workflows directly during peak periods, complex situations, or when coverage is limited
- Ensure consistent, high-quality execution of manual workflows by implementing checks, audits, and processes/systems to reduce errors
- Monitor team performance and address gaps through direct, data-driven feedback and performance management
- Act as the point of escalation during operational disruptions (e.g., weather, holidays), making timely decisions under pressure
- Set clear priorities across competing tasks and ensure ownership is defined so nothing falls through the cracks
- Identify opportunities to reduce errors, improve efficiency, and enhance workflows through better tooling or automation
- Communicate clearly with cross-functional partners and support new workflows or operational initiatives
What Success Looks Like
In this role, success looks like:
- Consistent, accurate execution of daily workflows with minimal errors
- A team that operates with clear ownership, strong discipline, and accountability
- Effective prioritization and decision-making during high-pressure or low-coverage situations
- Timely and clear communication with cross-functional partners
- Continuous improvements that reduce manual errors and increase operational efficiency
We're excited about you because…
- You have 3–5 years of experience, with at least 1+ years managing hourly, shift-based, or support teams in high-volume environments (e.g., logistics, customer support, marketplaces)
- You are a hands-on operator who is comfortable stepping in to execute work, not just managing from a distance
- You are highly detail-oriented and have experience improving accuracy in repetitive or process-driven work
- You have experience managing structured, process-driven work where accuracy and consistency are critical
- You are comfortable operating in fast-paced, time-sensitive environments and making real-time decisions with limited information
- You are confident holding a high bar and having direct, sometimes difficult performance conversations
- You have strong organizational and prioritization skills, and can manage multiple workflows simultaneously
- You communicate clearly and effectively with both your team and cross-functional partners
- You are comfortable working with spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) and using data to identify trends or issues (SQL is a plus)
- You are willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, to support a 24/7 operation

Which technology companies in Arizona sponsor E-3 visas?
Arizona's technology employers with a track record of E-3 visa sponsorship include Intel, which operates large semiconductor facilities in Chandler, Microchip Technology headquartered in Chandler, Honeywell in Phoenix, and GoDaddy. The state's growing fintech and cloud computing sectors also include employers like Axway and Verizon Business. Sponsorship patterns vary by role, team, and hiring cycle, so availability changes frequently.
Which cities in Arizona have the most technology E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Phoenix and its surrounding metro, including Scottsdale, Tempe, and Chandler, concentrates the majority of Arizona's technology E-3 sponsorship roles. Chandler is particularly notable given its semiconductor cluster anchored by Intel's campus. Tucson has a smaller but active technology and defense contracting presence, with employers like Raytheon Technologies hiring engineering and software professionals.
What types of technology roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship in Arizona?
Roles that typically qualify as specialty occupations for E-3 purposes include software engineers, embedded systems engineers, semiconductor process engineers, data scientists, cloud infrastructure engineers, and cybersecurity analysts. The position must require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. General IT support or roles where any degree field is accepted are less likely to meet the specialty occupation standard.
How do I find technology E-3 sponsorship jobs in Arizona?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa type, making it straightforward to browse technology roles in Arizona where employers have indicated E-3 sponsorship. Rather than manually screening hundreds of postings, you can search by state and visa category to surface relevant opportunities faster. Migrate Mate also provides context on employer sponsorship patterns, which is useful when targeting companies in Arizona's semiconductor and software sectors.
Are there any Arizona-specific considerations for technology E-3 sponsorship?
Arizona's CHIPS Act investment has accelerated semiconductor manufacturing expansion, particularly in the Phoenix metro, which has increased demand for engineering roles that qualify for E-3 sponsorship. However, manufacturing-floor technician positions may not meet the specialty occupation threshold even at these facilities. Defense contractors operating in Arizona, such as those at Tucson's sprawling aerospace cluster, sometimes require security clearances, which can complicate sponsorship for foreign nationals.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 technology jobs in Arizona?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
