Which technology companies sponsor E-3 visas in Connecticut?
Connecticut technology E-3 LCA filings come from a range of employers, including insurance technology firms like Cigna and Travelers, financial software companies concentrated in Stamford and Greenwich, defense contractors with technology divisions in the Groton and New Haven corridor, and university-affiliated research institutions. Smaller software and data companies in Hartford and Stamford also appear regularly in DOL LCA disclosure data.
Which cities in Connecticut have the most technology E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Stamford generates the highest volume of technology E-3 filings, driven by its concentration of financial services and insurance technology firms. Hartford follows with health technology and insurance software employers. New Haven has a smaller but active technology hiring base connected to Yale University and its affiliated research and biotech spinouts. Groton and New London see filings from defense technology contractors.
How do I find technology E-3 sponsorship jobs in Connecticut?
Migrate Mate filters technology roles in Connecticut specifically by E-3 LCA filing history, so you can identify employers who have already gone through the sponsorship process for this visa category. Search by role type, software engineer, data analyst, cybersecurity specialist, and filter to Connecticut to see verified sponsoring employers, rather than applying broadly and asking about sponsorship later in the process.
What types of technology roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship in Connecticut?
Roles that meet the specialty occupation standard, requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related technical field, are the ones that qualify. In Connecticut's technology sector, this regularly includes software engineers, data engineers, cloud architects, cybersecurity analysts, and systems analysts. Roles in insurance technology, financial systems, and enterprise software development appear frequently in E-3 LCA filings from Connecticut employers.
Are there any Connecticut-specific considerations for technology E-3 sponsorship?
Connecticut employers filing an E-3 LCA must meet DOL prevailing wage requirements, which vary by occupation and location. The Stamford metro area typically carries higher prevailing wage levels than Hartford or New Haven, reflecting regional compensation differences tracked in OFLC Wage Search data. Connecticut has no state-level visa sponsorship registry, so confirming an employer's LCA filing history through DOL disclosure data is the most reliable way to verify sponsorship experience before applying.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 technology jobs in Connecticut?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
