INTRODUCTION
Founded in 1977 as the Senior Care Action Network, SCAN began with a simple but radical idea: that older adults deserve to stay healthy and independent. That belief was championed by a group of community activists we still honor today as the “12 Angry Seniors.” Their mission continues to guide everything we do.
Today, SCAN is a nonprofit health organization serving more than 500,000 people across Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas, and Washington, with over $8 billion in annual revenue. With nearly five decades of experience, we have built a distinctive, values-driven platform dedicated to improving care for older adults.
Our work spans Medicare Advantage, fully integrated care models, primary care, care for the most medically and socially complex populations, and next-generation care delivery models. Across all of this, we are united by a shared commitment: combining compassion with discipline, innovation with stewardship, and growth with integrity.
At SCAN, we believe scale should strengthen—not dilute—our mission. We are building the future of care for older adults, grounded in purpose, accountability, and respect for the people and communities we serve.

Which companies sponsor visas for licensed practical nurses in Arizona?
Banner Health is the largest employer of LPNs in Arizona and has sponsored work visas for nursing staff across its Phoenix-area facilities. Dignity Health, HonorHealth, and Valleywise Health also hire LPNs with sponsorship in select circumstances. Long-term care operators like Ensign Group and Genesis Healthcare, which have multiple Arizona locations, have historically sponsored foreign-educated nurses for facility-based LPN roles.
Which visa types are most common for licensed practical nurse roles in Arizona?
The H-1B visa is rarely used for LPN roles because the position typically does not meet the specialty occupation standard requiring a bachelor's degree in a specific field. The EB-3 immigrant visa is the most common pathway for foreign-educated LPNs, requiring NCLEX-PN passage, a VisaScreen certificate, and employer sponsorship of a permanent position. Some LPNs also enter through the TN visa if they are Canadian or Mexican nationals.
Which cities in Arizona have the most licensed practical nurse sponsorship jobs?
Phoenix and its surrounding metros, including Scottsdale, Mesa, Chandler, and Tempe, account for the highest concentration of LPN openings due to the density of hospitals, outpatient clinics, and skilled nursing facilities. Tucson is the second-largest market, anchored by Banner University Medical Center and several long-term care networks. Yuma and Flagstaff also see periodic LPN demand, particularly in community health and rural hospital settings.
How to find licensed practical nurse visa sponsorship jobs in Arizona?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles where employers are open to visa sponsorship, which saves significant time when searching for LPN positions in Arizona. You can narrow results by city, facility type, and visa category to find postings from health systems and long-term care operators across the Phoenix metro, Tucson, and smaller Arizona markets. Migrate Mate focuses exclusively on international candidates, so every listing is relevant to your sponsorship needs.
Are there state-specific considerations for LPN visa sponsorship in Arizona?
Arizona requires LPNs to hold an active license from the Arizona State Board of Nursing, and foreign-educated nurses must have their credentials evaluated before sitting for the NCLEX-PN. The VisaScreen certificate issued by CGFNS International is a federal requirement for EB-3 immigrant visa processing and takes several months to obtain. Arizona's large retirement population means long-term care and home health agencies are among the most active LPN sponsors in the state.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored licensed practical nurse jobs in Arizona?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
