Which companies sponsor visas for program supervisors in Arizona?
Healthcare systems such as Banner Health and Dignity Health are among the more active sponsors for program supervisor roles in Arizona, alongside technology employers like Intel and ON Semiconductor in the Phoenix metro. State agencies and nonprofit organizations, including those contracted through the Arizona Department of Economic Security, also sponsor visas, particularly for program supervisors overseeing social services, workforce development, or public health initiatives.
Which visa types are most common for program supervisor roles in Arizona?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa category for program supervisor positions, provided the role requires at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as public health, social work, business administration, or a relevant technical discipline. Some roles at qualifying nonprofit or government research organizations may be cap-exempt. Candidates with prior L-1 visa intracompany transfer status or TN visa eligibility may also qualify depending on their background and employer.
Which cities in Arizona have the most program supervisor sponsorship jobs?
Phoenix and its surrounding East Valley cities, including Tempe, Scottsdale, and Mesa, account for the largest share of program supervisor sponsorship opportunities in Arizona, driven by the concentration of healthcare systems, technology firms, and government contractors. Tucson is the second most active market, with University of Arizona-affiliated employers, public health organizations, and defense contractors regularly hiring for supervisory program roles.

Are there any Arizona-specific considerations for program supervisors seeking visa sponsorship?
Arizona's large healthcare and social services sectors mean many program supervisor roles fall under prevailing wage requirements tied to occupational classifications used in the H-1B Labor Condition Application process. The University of Arizona and Arizona State University both operate cap-exempt facilities, which can affect sponsorship pathways for supervisors in academic or research-adjacent programs. Arizona's border region also generates demand for bilingual program supervisors in public health and community services, which can broaden the pool of sponsoring employers.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored program supervisor jobs in Arizona?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
