Which companies in Florida sponsor visas for program supervisor roles?
Healthcare systems including AdventHealth, HCA Florida, and Nicklaus Children's Hospital have histories of sponsoring work visas for supervisory program roles. Large nonprofits and social service agencies operating in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Orange counties also file sponsorship petitions, particularly for program supervisors overseeing federally funded initiatives. Government contractors managing workforce development or public health programs are another consistent source of sponsorship in the state.
What visa types are most commonly used for program supervisor jobs in Florida?
The H-1B is the most common visa for program supervisor roles in Florida, provided the position qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as public health, social work, or human services. Some roles in international organizations or academic institutions may support J-1 or O-1 visas depending on the candidate's background. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories.
Which Florida cities have the most program supervisor visa sponsorship opportunities?
Miami leads in volume due to its concentration of healthcare systems, international nonprofits, and federally funded community programs. Orlando follows closely, driven by hospital networks and large social service organizations tied to the region's rapid population growth. Tampa and Jacksonville also offer meaningful opportunities, particularly through public health agencies, behavioral health providers, and workforce development contractors operating across those metro areas.
How to find program supervisor visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates and filters program supervisor roles in Florida by visa sponsorship availability, saving significant time compared to broad job searches. The platform surfaces employers who have active or historical H-1B and other visa filings for supervisory program positions across healthcare, nonprofits, and government contracting in Florida. Setting up role and location filters on Migrate Mate helps you focus on employers already open to sponsorship.
Are there any Florida-specific factors that affect program supervisor visa sponsorship?
Florida's large publicly funded healthcare and social services sector means many program supervisor roles are tied to Medicaid, federally qualified health centers, or HUD-funded housing programs, all of which tend to have stable employer sponsorship infrastructure. The state's significant bilingual workforce needs, particularly in South Florida, can make internationally trained candidates more competitive. Employers must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements for the specific county where the role is based, which varies across the state.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored program supervisor jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
