Which companies sponsor visas for program supervisors in Delaware?
Healthcare systems and state-affiliated organizations are the most active sponsors for program supervisor roles in Delaware. ChristianaCare, Nemours Children's Health, and the University of Delaware have sponsored work visas for supervisory and program management positions. Nonprofit human services organizations operating in Wilmington also hire internationally, particularly for roles overseeing behavioral health, workforce development, and community services programs.
Which visa types are most common for program supervisor roles in Delaware?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for program supervisors in Delaware, provided the role requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as social work, public health, or business administration. Candidates already holding TN visa, O-1 visa, or L-1 visa status may also qualify depending on their credentials and employer type. E-3 visas apply exclusively to Australian nationals meeting specialty occupation requirements.
Which cities in Delaware have the most program supervisor sponsorship jobs?
Wilmington accounts for the largest share of program supervisor openings in Delaware, driven by its concentration of healthcare systems, financial services firms, and nonprofit organizations. Newark is the second most active market, largely due to the University of Delaware and affiliated research and social service programs. Dover, as the state capital, also generates supervisory openings within government-contracted and state agency programs.
How to find program supervisor visa sponsorship jobs in Delaware?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it easier to identify Delaware employers actively hiring program supervisors who require work authorization. Rather than sorting through broad job boards, you can search program supervisor roles in Delaware directly and see which employers have a documented history of sponsoring international candidates in supervisory or program management positions.
Are there any state-specific considerations for program supervisors seeking sponsorship in Delaware?
Delaware's small size means the sponsoring employer pool is narrower than in larger states, so institutional employers like hospitals, universities, and state-contracted nonprofits carry more weight. Program supervisor roles in behavioral health or social services may require state licensure, which can affect visa petition timelines. Employers filing H-1B petitions must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements for the Wilmington-Newark metropolitan area, which is the standard wage benchmark for most Delaware postings.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored program supervisor jobs in Delaware?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
