Which companies sponsor visas for program supervisors in Oregon?
Oregon Health & Science University, Oregon Department of Human Services, Lines for Life, Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare, and Legacy Health have histories of sponsoring international workers in program supervision roles. Federally funded nonprofits and university-affiliated research centers are particularly active sponsors, as their grant-funded structures often require specialized degree credentials that support H-1B specialty occupation filings for supervisory positions.
Which visa types are most common for program supervisor roles in Oregon?
The H-1B is the most common visa for program supervisor roles in Oregon, particularly when the position requires a bachelor's degree or higher in social work, public health, psychology, or a related specific field. Some university-affiliated employers also sponsor J-1 exchange visitors for program coordination roles. TN status may apply for Canadian or Mexican nationals if the position aligns with a qualifying professional category.
Which cities in Oregon have the most program supervisor sponsorship jobs?
Portland concentrates the most program supervisor sponsorship opportunities, driven by its density of behavioral health organizations, federally qualified health centers, and nonprofit service providers. Salem, as the state capital, generates supervisory roles within Oregon state agencies. Eugene and Corvallis offer openings through the University of Oregon and Oregon State University systems, particularly in research program administration and public health initiatives.
How to find program supervisor visa sponsorship jobs in Oregon?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to identify program supervisor roles in Oregon where employers are actively willing to sponsor. Rather than sorting through unconfirmed listings, you can search by role and state to surface positions from behavioral health organizations, universities, and government-contracted nonprofits across Portland, Salem, and Eugene that have documented sponsorship histories.
Are there state-specific considerations for program supervisor visa sponsorship in Oregon?
Oregon's strong investment in behavioral and community health, backed by Medicaid expansion and state-funded mental health initiatives, creates consistent demand for credentialed program supervisors. Many roles require Oregon-specific licensure, such as LCSW or QMHP credentials, which can affect visa eligibility timelines since USCIS requires the position to qualify as a specialty occupation independent of licensure. Employers in tribal health programs may also operate under distinct federal contracting frameworks.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored program supervisor jobs in Oregon?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
