Which companies sponsor visas for program supervisors in Kentucky?
Healthcare systems are among the most active sponsors for program supervisor roles in Kentucky. Baptist Health, Norton Healthcare, and University of Kentucky HealthCare have filed H-1B Labor Condition Applications for supervisory positions in clinical and administrative programs. State agencies and nonprofit organizations in workforce development and behavioral health also hire program supervisors, though their sponsorship activity tends to be more selective than large hospital networks.
Which visa types are most common for program supervisor roles in Kentucky?
The H-1B visa is the most common pathway for program supervisors in Kentucky, provided the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as public health, social work, or healthcare administration. Some academic medical centers and universities may also support J-1 exchange visitor categories for program roles tied to research or training functions. TN visas cover specific occupations for Canadian and Mexican nationals.
Which cities in Kentucky have the most program supervisor sponsorship jobs?
Louisville and Lexington account for the majority of program supervisor sponsorship activity in Kentucky. Louisville's large hospital networks and regional nonprofit sector generate consistent openings, while Lexington benefits from the University of Kentucky and its affiliated healthcare and research programs. Frankfort, as the state capital, occasionally has program supervisor roles within state government and contracted social service organizations.
How to find program supervisor visa sponsorship jobs in Kentucky?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find program supervisor visa sponsorship jobs in Kentucky. The platform filters job listings specifically by sponsorship availability, so you can focus on employers in Louisville, Lexington, and beyond who are open to sponsoring international candidates. Program supervisor roles in healthcare and nonprofit services appear regularly, and filtering by Kentucky gives you a focused view of the state's sponsoring employers.
What should international candidates know about program supervisor roles in Kentucky specifically?
Program supervisor positions in Kentucky often require licensure or certification specific to the sector, such as LCSW credentials for social services roles or ACHE membership pathways for healthcare administration. Employers sponsoring H-1B workers must pay the Department of Labor's prevailing wage for the role and location, which is determined by occupation and county. Kentucky's lower cost of living compared to coastal markets can affect prevailing wage levels, so candidates should review role requirements carefully.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored program supervisor jobs in Kentucky?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
