Which companies sponsor visas for program supervisors in Kansas?
Nonprofit social services organizations and healthcare systems are the most active sponsors for program supervisor roles in Kansas. Employers like Heartspring in Wichita, ReStart Inc., and organizations operating under Kansas Department for Children and Families contracts have sponsored work visas for supervisory positions. Large hospital networks such as The University of Kansas Health System also sponsor for program oversight roles in clinical settings.
Which visa types are most common for program supervisor roles in Kansas?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for program supervisors in Kansas, provided the role requires a specific bachelor's degree or higher in a related field such as social work, public health, psychology, or education. The O-1A is an option for candidates with demonstrated expertise. Some nonprofit employers qualify as cap-exempt H-1B petitioners, which can simplify the process for roles at affiliated organizations.
Which cities in Kansas have the most program supervisor sponsorship jobs?
Wichita has the highest concentration of program supervisor roles in Kansas, driven by its behavioral health nonprofit sector and healthcare institutions. Topeka, as the state capital, offers positions tied to state agencies and social services contractors. The Kansas City metro area, spanning the Kansas-Missouri border, is also a significant hub given its density of healthcare systems, child welfare organizations, and workforce development programs.
How to find program supervisor visa sponsorship jobs in Kansas?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find program supervisor roles in Kansas where employers are open to visa sponsorship. Searching specifically for program supervisor positions filtered to Kansas surfaces relevant openings across behavioral health, social services, and education sectors. Because sponsorship willingness varies significantly by employer, focusing your search on organizations with a documented history of sponsoring is more effective than applying broadly.
Are there any state-specific considerations for program supervisor visa sponsorship in Kansas?
Kansas has a significant behavioral health and child welfare sector, with many employers operating under state and federal grants that influence hiring timelines and budget cycles. Program supervisor roles often require licensure in social work or counseling, and international candidates should verify whether their credentials meet Kansas licensure board requirements before applying. Employers at nonprofit and university-affiliated organizations may qualify for cap-exempt H-1B filings, which is worth confirming directly with the employer.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored program supervisor jobs in Kansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
