Which companies sponsor visas for program supervisors in Massachusetts?
Healthcare systems and university networks are the most active sponsors in Massachusetts. Mass General Brigham, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, UMass Chan Medical School, and large nonprofit service organizations have sponsored program supervisor roles through H-1B visa and other work visa categories. State-funded behavioral health and disability services agencies also sponsor, particularly for roles requiring specialized clinical or administrative credentials.
Which visa types are most common for program supervisor roles in Massachusetts?
The H-1B is the most common visa for program supervisor positions where the role requires a specific bachelor's degree or higher, such as public health, social work, or healthcare administration. Some university-affiliated positions qualify under cap-exempt H-1B rules. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. O-1 visas are rarely used for this role type.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most program supervisor sponsorship jobs?
Boston is the primary hub, with high concentrations of program supervisor openings in healthcare, higher education, and social services. Worcester is a secondary market driven by UMass Memorial Health and regional nonprofits. Cambridge and Somerville also generate openings through research institutions and community health organizations. Western Massachusetts cities like Springfield have state-contracted human services employers that sponsor periodically.
How to find program supervisor visa sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can browse program supervisor roles in Massachusetts without sifting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. This is particularly useful in Massachusetts, where sponsorship is common in healthcare and nonprofit sectors but rare in others. Searching by city or employer type on Migrate Mate helps narrow results to the most active sponsoring organizations in the state.
Are there state-specific considerations for program supervisor visa sponsorship in Massachusetts?
Massachusetts has a strong pipeline from its public university system, including UMass and state community colleges, that feeds program supervisor roles in health and human services. Employers subject to state contracts are often accustomed to sponsoring foreign nationals. Prevailing wage requirements under H-1B rules apply statewide, and the Boston metro area typically falls in higher wage tiers, which affects what employers must commit to when filing a Labor Condition Application.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored program supervisor jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
