Which companies sponsor visas for program supervisors in Nebraska?
Employers with consistent sponsorship histories for program supervisor roles in Nebraska include Boys Town, Methodist Health System, Omaha Public Schools, and the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services. Nonprofits and behavioral health organizations in Omaha and Lincoln tend to be the most active sponsors, particularly for candidates with graduate degrees in social work, public health, or human services.
Which visa types are most common for program supervisor roles in Nebraska?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for program supervisors in Nebraska, provided the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as social work, public health, or healthcare administration. Some employers, particularly universities and nonprofits, hold cap-exempt status, which means they can file H-1B petitions year-round without waiting for the annual lottery.
Which cities in Nebraska have the most program supervisor sponsorship jobs?
Omaha accounts for the largest share of program supervisor sponsorship opportunities in Nebraska, driven by its concentration of healthcare systems, nonprofits, and social services agencies. Lincoln follows closely, with state government agencies and the University of Nebraska system generating regular openings. Smaller markets like Grand Island and Kearney occasionally post sponsored roles in behavioral health and workforce development programs.
How to find program supervisor visa sponsorship jobs in Nebraska?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it practical to search for program supervisor roles in Nebraska without sifting through postings that don't offer sponsorship. You can narrow results by location and role type to focus on Omaha and Lincoln, where most Nebraska sponsorship activity for program supervisors is concentrated. Migrate Mate also surfaces employers with documented sponsorship histories in this field.
Are there state-specific considerations for program supervisor visa sponsorship in Nebraska?
Nebraska program supervisor roles in licensed behavioral health or social services settings may require state licensure, such as a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner credential, which can affect both hiring timelines and visa petition timelines. Employers must also meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements tied to the Omaha-Council Bluffs or Lincoln metropolitan areas when filing H-1B petitions, so the offered wage must align with the designated wage level for the role.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored program supervisor jobs in Nebraska?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
