Which companies in Arizona sponsor visas for project coordinators?
Intel's Chandler campus, Banner Health, Honeywell, Amazon, and Arizona State University are among Arizona employers with documented visa sponsorship activity for project-related roles. Defense contractors like Raytheon and General Dynamics also hire project coordinators in the Phoenix metro area and have established processes for H-1B visa sponsorship, particularly for roles tied to engineering or technical program management.
Which visa types are most common for project coordinator roles in Arizona?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for project coordinator roles in Arizona, though approval depends on USCIS determining the position qualifies as a specialty occupation, typically requiring a bachelor's degree in a specific field like engineering, information systems, or business. Candidates from Australia may pursue the E-3 visa, and those from Canada or Mexico may qualify for TN visa status under the USMCA if the role fits a covered occupation.
Which cities in Arizona have the most project coordinator sponsorship jobs?
Phoenix accounts for the largest share of project coordinator sponsorship jobs in Arizona, followed by Tempe, Chandler, and Scottsdale. The East Valley corridor, anchored by Intel's semiconductor facilities in Chandler and the tech and healthcare employers clustered around Arizona State University in Tempe, generates consistent hiring for project coordination roles that involve technical or cross-functional program management.
How to find project coordinator visa sponsorship jobs in Arizona?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters project coordinator jobs in Arizona by visa sponsorship eligibility, saving you from manually screening hundreds of postings. Arizona's sponsoring employers tend to cluster in tech, semiconductor manufacturing, and healthcare, so filtering by those industries on Migrate Mate will surface the most relevant opportunities. Setting up alerts for Phoenix and Chandler gives you the best coverage of active openings.
Are there any Arizona-specific considerations for project coordinators pursuing visa sponsorship?
Arizona's concentration of semiconductor, defense, and healthcare employers means many project coordinator roles require specific domain knowledge, which strengthens the specialty occupation case for H-1B purposes. Arizona State University also produces a steady pipeline of international graduates in engineering and business who pursue local sponsorship. Prevailing wage requirements apply statewide, and employers must file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor before sponsoring an H-1B for any Arizona-based position.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project coordinator jobs in Arizona?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
