Which companies in Nebraska sponsor visas for project coordinators?
Omaha-based employers with consistent sponsorship histories include Union Pacific Railroad, Mutual of Omaha, and HDR Engineering. In Lincoln, the University of Nebraska system and Bryan Health have sponsored coordination roles. Nebraska's construction and infrastructure sector, anchored by firms like Kiewit Corporation, also generates project coordinator openings that have historically included H-1B sponsorship for qualified international candidates.
Which visa types are most common for project coordinator roles in Nebraska?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for project coordinators in Nebraska, requiring the role to qualify as a specialty occupation tied to a specific bachelor's degree field such as engineering, business, or information systems. Some employers at the University of Nebraska or affiliated medical centers also sponsor TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management or engineering coordination roles.
Which cities in Nebraska have the most project coordinator visa sponsorship jobs?
Omaha accounts for the majority of project coordinator sponsorship activity in Nebraska, driven by its concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters, logistics companies, and healthcare systems. Lincoln is the second most active market, supported by state government, university administration, and healthcare employers. Smaller markets like Bellevue, home to Offutt Air Force Base contractors, occasionally produce defense-adjacent coordination roles with sponsorship.
How to find project coordinator visa sponsorship jobs in Nebraska?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse project coordinator roles in Nebraska without sorting through positions that don't sponsor. You can search by state and job title to surface active openings from Omaha, Lincoln, and beyond. Migrate Mate also provides employer sponsorship context relevant to project coordination roles across Nebraska's key industries.
Are there state-specific factors that affect project coordinator sponsorship in Nebraska?
Nebraska's prevailing wage requirements under Department of Labor rules apply to H-1B petitions, and wages for project coordinators vary meaningfully between Omaha metro and rural Nebraska. Employers affiliated with the University of Nebraska system are cap-exempt institutions, meaning they can file H-1B petitions outside the annual lottery. Nebraska's engineering and construction sector, led by firms headquartered in Omaha, creates a relatively steady pipeline of coordination roles open to sponsored candidates.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project coordinator jobs in Nebraska?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
