Which companies sponsor visas for project coordinators in New Hampshire?
Defense and aerospace contractors are among the most consistent sponsors in New Hampshire, with BAE Systems in Nashua regularly hiring project coordinators and filing H-1B visa petitions. Dartmouth Health, Southern New Hampshire Health, and other healthcare networks also sponsor for project management roles. Technology firms in the Manchester area, including smaller government IT contractors, round out the primary sponsoring employers for this role category.
Which visa types are most common for project coordinator roles in New Hampshire?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for project coordinators in New Hampshire, provided the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as information technology, engineering, or business. Some candidates already holding TN visa, L-1 visa, or O-1 visa status also move into coordinator roles. The specialty occupation determination depends heavily on how the employer defines the position's minimum requirements.
Which cities in New Hampshire have the most project coordinator sponsorship jobs?
Manchester and Nashua account for the largest share of project coordinator sponsorship activity in New Hampshire. Manchester functions as the state's commercial hub with a concentration of IT services and healthcare employers, while Nashua hosts significant defense and advanced manufacturing operations. Concord, as the state capital, offers public-sector and healthcare-adjacent opportunities, though sponsorship activity there is less common than in the southern tier cities.
How to find project coordinator visa sponsorship jobs in New Hampshire?
Migrate Mate filters project coordinator listings specifically to employers with documented H-1B sponsorship history in New Hampshire, saving you from sorting through roles that won't support visa sponsorship. You can search by city, filtering for Manchester or Nashua where activity is highest. Because coordinator roles vary widely in how employers classify them, reviewing actual job descriptions on Migrate Mate helps confirm which postings explicitly mention visa sponsorship eligibility.
Are there any state-specific considerations for project coordinators seeking visa sponsorship in New Hampshire?
New Hampshire has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage benchmarks used in H-1B Labor Condition Applications, since take-home pay comparisons differ from neighboring Massachusetts. The state's proximity to Boston means some employers list New Hampshire roles but draw from the broader Greater Boston talent market, so competition can be higher than the state's size suggests. Candidates with PMP certification or experience in defense, healthcare IT, or regulated manufacturing industries tend to align best with New Hampshire's primary sponsoring sectors.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project coordinator jobs in New Hampshire?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
