Which companies sponsor visas for project coordinators in Kansas?
Spirit AeroSystems in Wichita is one of the more active sponsors for project coordinator roles, given its scale in aerospace manufacturing. Koch Industries, Evergy, and Garmin (in Olathe) have also filed H-1B visa Labor Condition Applications for coordination roles. Larger employers with established HR infrastructure are generally more equipped to manage the sponsorship process than smaller firms.
Which visa types are most common for project coordinator roles in Kansas?
The H-1B is the most common visa for project coordinator roles in Kansas, provided the position qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as engineering, business, or information technology. The O-1 visa is an option for candidates with demonstrated exceptional achievement. Candidates already holding OPT or STEM OPT authorization can often begin work before H-1B sponsorship is initiated.
Which cities in Kansas have the most project coordinator sponsorship jobs?
Wichita generates the most project coordinator sponsorship activity in Kansas, driven by its aerospace and manufacturing base. Overland Park, part of the Kansas City metro, is a close second with a stronger concentration of technology, financial services, and healthcare employers. Manhattan and Lawrence see occasional openings tied to Kansas State University and the University of Kansas, though volume is lower.
How to find project coordinator visa sponsorship jobs in Kansas?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse project coordinator roles in Kansas without sifting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. You can filter by location and role type to surface relevant openings in Wichita, Overland Park, and other Kansas markets. This saves significant time compared to manually vetting general job postings.
Are there state-specific factors that affect project coordinator sponsorship hiring in Kansas?
Kansas employers filing H-1B petitions for project coordinators must meet the Department of Labor's prevailing wage requirements for the specific role and location. Wichita's aerospace industry means many coordinator roles carry engineering or operations context, which can strengthen the specialty occupation argument for H-1B eligibility. Wichita State University and Kansas State University also produce a steady pipeline of international graduates who pursue local sponsorship after completing degrees in engineering and business.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project coordinator jobs in Kansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
