Which companies sponsor visas for project coordinators in Florida?
Florida employers with documented H-1B sponsorship history for project coordinator roles include Jacobs Engineering, Leidos, AdventHealth, and large construction firms operating in the Miami and Orlando metro areas. Disney and Universal in the hospitality and entertainment sectors have also sponsored project management roles. Sponsorship varies by department, project scope, and hiring cycle, so confirming directly with each employer is advisable.
Which visa types are most common for project coordinator roles in Florida?
The H-1B is the most common visa for project coordinator roles in Florida, provided the position qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as engineering, construction management, or business. Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify for the TN visa under the NAFTA/USMCA category for certain management or engineering roles. Australian citizens can explore the E-3 visa as an alternative to the H-1B.
How to find project coordinator visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse project coordinator roles in Florida without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. You can search by city, filtering for Miami, Orlando, or Tampa where sponsorship activity is highest for this role. Migrate Mate's listings reflect employers actively willing to sponsor, saving significant time in an otherwise fragmented job search.
Which cities in Florida have the most project coordinator sponsorship jobs?
Miami leads Florida for project coordinator sponsorship activity, driven by large-scale construction, international business, and infrastructure projects. Orlando follows closely, supported by healthcare systems like AdventHealth and major theme park operators. Tampa has a growing presence through defense contractors and technology firms. Jacksonville and Fort Lauderdale also see periodic sponsorship activity, particularly in logistics, construction, and financial services.
Are there any Florida-specific considerations for project coordinator visa sponsorship?
Florida's construction and infrastructure boom has sustained strong demand for project coordinators, particularly in South Florida and the I-4 corridor between Tampa and Orlando. The Department of Labor sets prevailing wage requirements based on the specific metropolitan area, so wages for Miami-based roles differ from those in smaller Florida markets. Florida also has several large research universities that pipeline international graduates into project coordination roles across engineering and healthcare employers.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project coordinator jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
