Which companies in Wisconsin sponsor visas for project coordinators?
Epic Systems in Verona is one of the more active sponsors for coordination roles tied to healthcare IT implementations. Manufacturers like Oshkosh Corporation and Harley-Davidson have also filed sponsorships for project-focused positions. Large healthcare networks including Advocate Aurora Health and Froedtert Health round out the employer pool, particularly for coordinators supporting clinical operations and capital projects.
Which visa types are most common for project coordinator roles in Wisconsin?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for project coordinator roles when the position requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as engineering, information systems, or business administration. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying occupational categories. Candidates already on OPT or STEM OPT can work while their employer files an H-1B petition, which many Wisconsin employers support.
How to find project coordinator visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to search project coordinator roles across Wisconsin without sorting through positions that exclude international candidates. You can narrow results by city or industry, which is useful given how differently sponsorship patterns look in Madison's tech sector versus Milwaukee's healthcare and manufacturing base.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most project coordinator sponsorship jobs?
Madison leads due to the concentration of healthcare IT firms, state government contractors, and the University of Wisconsin system, which generates significant coordination work. Milwaukee follows closely, driven by healthcare networks, construction management firms, and manufacturing companies headquartered there. Green Bay sees demand tied to food processing and regional healthcare, while Racine and Kenosha attract coordination roles from manufacturing and logistics operations.
Are there any Wisconsin-specific considerations for project coordinators seeking visa sponsorship?
Wisconsin's manufacturing and healthcare industries dominate sponsorship activity, so project coordinators with backgrounds in those sectors are better positioned than those from purely service-oriented fields. The Department of Labor's prevailing wage requirements apply to all H-1B positions, and Wisconsin wages in these industries generally meet the thresholds for Levels I and II. The University of Wisconsin system also produces a pipeline of international graduates who pursue coordination roles locally, meaning competition at the entry level can be meaningful.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project coordinator jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
