Which healthcare companies sponsor Green Card visas in Arkansas?
The largest sponsors in Arkansas include UAMS Health (University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences), Arkansas Children's Hospital, Baptist Health, CHI St. Vincent, and Mercy Health. These systems regularly file PERM labor certifications for physicians, advanced practice providers, and specialized nursing roles. Smaller regional hospitals and rural critical access facilities also sponsor, particularly when recruiting for hard-to-fill positions in underserved areas.
Which cities in Arkansas have the most healthcare Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Little Rock accounts for the largest share, anchored by UAMS Health, Arkansas Children's Hospital, and several large hospital systems. Fayetteville and Springdale in the northwest corridor have growing medical centers tied to the University of Arkansas system. Fort Smith and Jonesboro also show consistent sponsorship activity. Rural areas across the Delta region and Ozarks occasionally sponsor physicians and mid-level providers under shortage area designations.
What types of healthcare roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in Arkansas?
Physicians across most specialties, including internal medicine, family medicine, psychiatry, and hospitalist roles, are the most commonly sponsored. Registered nurses, nurse practitioners, certified registered nurse anesthetists, and physical therapists also see regular PERM filings. Allied health roles such as clinical laboratory scientists, radiologic technologists, and respiratory therapists qualify when employers document domestic recruitment efforts and cannot fill positions locally.
How do I find healthcare Green Card sponsorship jobs in Arkansas?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship type, so you can search for Green Card-sponsored healthcare roles in Arkansas without sorting through positions that offer no immigration support. The platform indexes roles from hospitals, health systems, and clinics across the state. Filtering by Arkansas and the healthcare category surfaces positions where employers have indicated willingness to support permanent residency sponsorship.
Are there any state-specific considerations for healthcare Green Card sponsorship in Arkansas?
Arkansas has a significant number of federally designated Health Professional Shortage Areas and Medically Underserved Areas, particularly in rural Delta counties and parts of the Ozarks. Employers in these zones sometimes leverage the National Interest Waiver pathway, which allows physicians to self-petition without employer-sponsored PERM if they commit to serving the underserved community. Licensing requirements from the Arkansas State Medical Board or Arkansas State Board of Nursing must also be satisfied independently of the immigration process.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card healthcare jobs in Arkansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
