Search Sports Jobs in ArkansasSports H-1B Sponsorship Jobs in Arkansas: Frequently Asked Questions
Which sports companies and organizations in Arkansas sponsor H-1B visas?
The University of Arkansas athletics department in Fayetteville is among the most active H-1B visa sponsors in the state's sports sector, particularly for sports medicine, strength and conditioning, and analytics roles. The Arkansas Travelers minor league baseball organization and Arkansas Razorbacks-affiliated programs have also filed H-1B Labor Condition Applications. OFLC disclosure data is the most reliable way to verify which specific employers have filed for sports-related positions.
Which cities in Arkansas have the most sports H-1B sponsorship jobs?
Fayetteville leads the state for sports H-1B sponsorship activity, driven largely by the University of Arkansas and its extensive athletics infrastructure. Little Rock follows, with professional sports franchises and sports medicine facilities generating sponsorship filings. Springdale and Rogers, both in the Northwest Arkansas corridor, have seen growing demand for sports operations and performance science professionals as the region's sports economy expands.
What types of sports roles typically qualify for H-1B sponsorship in Arkansas?
Roles that qualify as specialty occupations under H-1B requirements typically include sports medicine physicians, athletic trainers with advanced credentials, sports data analysts, biomechanists, exercise physiologists, and sports psychologists. These positions require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. General coaching or operations support roles rarely meet the specialty occupation standard unless they require specific professional or graduate-level credentials.
How do I find sports H-1B sponsorship jobs in Arkansas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search, letting you filter for H-1B sponsorship jobs in Arkansas's sports sector using verified DOL Labor Condition Application filing data. Rather than guessing which employers sponsor, Migrate Mate surfaces organizations with a documented history of H-1B filings in sports and recreation. You can narrow results by role type and location across Arkansas, including the active Northwest Arkansas corridor and Little Rock markets.
Are there any Arkansas-specific or sports-industry considerations for H-1B sponsorship?
Arkansas employers sponsoring H-1B workers in sports must file a Labor Condition Application with DOL certifying the offered wage meets the prevailing wage for the occupation and geographic area, which you can verify using the OFLC Wage Search. University-affiliated sports employers may qualify as cap-exempt H-1B sponsors if they meet IRS nonprofit criteria, allowing year-round filing outside the annual cap. Roles at private sports facilities or for-profit franchises are cap-subject and subject to the annual lottery.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B sports jobs in Arkansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
