Which trucking companies in Arkansas sponsor work visas?
J.B. Hunt Transport Services, headquartered in Lowell, regularly sponsors H-2B and H-1B visas for drivers and logistics specialists. ABF Freight in Fort Smith and Walmart Transportation in Bentonville also file visa petitions. Regional carriers like PAM Transportation Services and smaller logistics companies throughout the state sponsor visas for specialized roles requiring commercial driving experience or fleet management expertise.
How to find trucking visa sponsorship jobs in Arkansas?
Use Migrate Mate to search specifically for Arkansas trucking positions with visa sponsorship. Filter by location (Little Rock, Fort Smith, Fayetteville) and company size to find opportunities with established carriers. Many Arkansas trucking companies prefer experienced drivers for their visa sponsorship programs, so highlight your CDL credentials, safety record, and any specialized endorsements when applying through the platform.
What visa types do Arkansas trucking companies typically sponsor?
H-2B visas are most common for seasonal trucking positions, especially during peak shipping periods. Some larger carriers like J.B. Hunt sponsor H-1B visas for specialized logistics roles requiring bachelor's degrees. TN visas work for Canadian and Mexican drivers meeting professional requirements. L-1 visas apply when international trucking companies transfer employees to their Arkansas operations or partnerships.
Which Arkansas cities have the most trucking visa sponsorship opportunities?
Bentonville leads due to Walmart's massive distribution network and need for specialized drivers. Little Rock offers opportunities with regional carriers and freight companies serving the central Arkansas corridor. Fort Smith, with ABF Freight's headquarters, provides steady visa sponsorship positions. Lowell benefits from J.B. Hunt's presence, while Springdale and Rogers have growing logistics sectors requiring international talent.
What makes Arkansas trucking sponsorship different from other states?
Arkansas employers often require experience with agricultural and food-grade transport due to the state's major poultry and food processing industries. Companies frequently seek drivers familiar with temperature-controlled freight for Tyson Foods and other agricultural partners. The state's central location means many positions involve cross-country routes, requiring drivers comfortable with long-haul operations and multiple state regulations.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored trucking jobs in Arkansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
