We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our Middle Office Core Platform team. In this role, you will drive product development and modernization initiatives by designing, developing, and delivering scalable, secure, and high-quality backend solutions. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer and strong technical contributor with deep experience in backend development, distributed systems, microservices, and cloud technologies. You will be responsible for designing and programming individual modules, large-scale components, and complex features that deliver measurable business value and exceptional customer outcomes.
Must-Have Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or another STEM-related field.
- At least 8 years of relevant professional software engineering experience, or equivalent experience with an advanced degree.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience with Java and the Spring Framework and/or Go.
- Strong experience designing and developing backend applications and RESTful or service-based APIs.
- Hands-on experience with microservices architecture and development.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented analysis and design, software design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and coding principles.
- Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, Sybase, or PostgreSQL.
- Experience building scalable, highly available, and distributed systems.
