Which companies sponsor visas for contract administrators in Colorado?
Defense and aerospace contractors are among the most active sponsors for contract administrator roles in Colorado. Companies like Lockheed Martin, Leidos, Raytheon, and Northrop Grumman have significant operations in the Denver metro and Colorado Springs areas and have sponsored work visas for procurement and contract management professionals. Large construction firms and federal government contractors operating in the state also file sponsorships for these roles with some regularity.
Which visa types are most common for contract administrator roles in Colorado?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for contract administrators in Colorado, provided the role requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business administration, supply chain management, or a related discipline. Some positions may qualify under the TN visa for Canadian and Mexican nationals if the role aligns with eligible TN classifications. Employers determine eligibility based on the specific duties and degree requirements of each position.
Which cities in Colorado have the most contract administrator sponsorship jobs?
Denver is the primary market for contract administrator sponsorship jobs in Colorado, given its concentration of federal agencies, defense contractors, and large construction and engineering firms. Colorado Springs is a secondary hub driven by its substantial military and defense presence, including Peterson Space Force Base and Fort Carson. Aurora also sees meaningful activity, particularly through aerospace and defense employers with facilities along the I-70 corridor.
How to find contract administrator visa sponsorship jobs in Colorado?
Migrate Mate is a job board built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship in the U.S. You can filter by role and state to browse contract administrator positions in Colorado from employers who have indicated sponsorship availability. Because contract administrator titles vary widely across industries, searching related terms like procurement specialist or contracts manager on Migrate Mate can surface additional relevant openings in the Colorado market.
Are there any Colorado-specific considerations for contract administrators seeking visa sponsorship?
Colorado's prevailing wage requirements under H-1B rules are determined by the Department of Labor based on the specific location and job level, and Denver's wage determinations tend to reflect the metro's competitive market for business and contracts professionals. Colorado's economy is heavily influenced by federal contracting and defense spending, which means many contract administrator roles involve security clearance requirements. Non-U.S. citizens can hold certain clearance levels, but some positions may be restricted to U.S. persons, which candidates should verify early in the application process.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored contract administrator jobs in Colorado?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
