Which companies in Florida sponsor visas for learning development managers?
Florida employers with documented H-1B sponsorship activity for learning and development roles include AdventHealth, HCA Florida Healthcare, Lockheed Martin (which has a significant presence in Orlando), and large hospitality operators based in the Orlando and Miami metro areas. Enterprise-scale organizations with centralized HR and training departments are generally the most active sponsors, as they have the legal infrastructure to support the petition process.
Which visa types are most common for learning development manager roles in Florida?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for learning development managers in Florida, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in instructional design, organizational development, human resources, or a related field, satisfying the specialty occupation standard. Candidates with multinational employer backgrounds may also qualify for an L-1A intracompany transferee visa if they're moving from a foreign affiliate into a managerial capacity at a U.S. office.
Which cities in Florida have the most learning development manager sponsorship jobs?
Orlando leads in sponsorship activity for learning development managers, driven by a high concentration of healthcare systems, defense contractors, and the hospitality industry centered around the theme park and resort sector. Tampa follows closely, particularly within financial services and healthcare. Miami sees demand from multinational corporations and technology firms, and Jacksonville contributes through insurance, logistics, and healthcare employers headquartered there.
How to find learning development manager visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for visa sponsorship eligibility, making it easier to identify learning development manager roles in Florida without sorting through positions that won't support international candidates. You can browse by state and role to surface employers actively hiring for these positions. This is especially useful in Florida, where sponsorship activity is spread across healthcare, defense, hospitality, and corporate training sectors rather than concentrated in one industry.
Are there state-specific factors that affect learning development manager sponsorship in Florida?
Florida has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage comparisons since employers file Labor Condition Applications based on the Department of Labor's wage data for each metropolitan area. Orlando, Tampa, and Miami each fall under separate wage determinations, so the prevailing wage requirement differs by city. Florida's large university system, including the University of Florida and University of South Florida, also supplies a pipeline of instructional design and HR graduates that shapes local employer expectations for the role.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored learning development manager jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
