This Dry Mechanical Superintendent role is a new position supporting a semiconductor construction project in Boise, Idaho.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Dry Mechanical Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating mechanical construction activities on-site within a fast-paced, mission-critical environment. This role serves as a field leader and technical resource, ensuring mechanical systems are installed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project specifications, schedules, and quality standards.
- Coordinate daily activities with other superintendents, mechanical subcontractors, and multi-discipline trade partners to ensure seamless project execution.
- Supervise and manage multiple subcontractors and craft personnel to ensure productivity, quality, and adherence to project standards.
- Maintain, monitor, and adjust project schedules on a daily basis to align with construction milestones and deliverables.
- Enforce and promote strict adherence to all site safety policies, procedures, and OSHA requirements.
- Resolve field-level design and constructability issues, working closely with engineers, architects, and project stakeholders.
- Respond to client requests and develop practical, technically sound solutions in a timely manner.
- Interpret and ensure compliance with all applicable permits, codes, standards, and site-specific requirements.
- Monitor contractor performance to ensure alignment with contractual obligations and project expectations.
- Assist in managing workforce planning, including staffing levels, labor coordination, and trade partner competency.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on experience in mechanical construction required.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical construction methods, materials, and field execution practices.
- Experience working in semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing environments preferred.
- Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and coordinate across disciplines in a fast-paced construction setting.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve design and field challenges effectively.
- Solid understanding of scheduling, construction sequencing, and project coordination.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to drive performance and collaboration on-site.
- Commitment to maintaining high safety standards in daily operations.
EDUCATION / LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred but not required.
- OSHA 30 certification required (may be obtained after hire).
- Relevant field experience and trade knowledge required.
- Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable.
