Job Description:
Responsibilities: Duties of this position include the planning and implementation of support services for transitional students and students with disabilities at Western Illinois University. This includes case management to provide support, resources, and programming in the functional areas of Student Development, Disability Resources, and Health Education in the Student Development and Success Center.
- Provides knowledge and expertise in regard to disability resources by meeting with students to identify barriers to full participation in the curricular and co-curricular environments and review sources of disability information.
- Acts as a point of contact with faculty, staff, and students for collaborations regarding the coordination and provision of services and accommodations.
- Maintains appropriate records by documenting communications with, and regarding, students and recording recommended courses of action or accommodations. Provides reports, analyses, data, and information for administrative purposes.
- Monitors the effectiveness of accommodations, services, and strategies. Participates in departmental objectives and long-term planning.
WORK LOCATION: Macomb Campus
APPOINTMENT: As soon as possible
MONTHLY WAGE: $4003 - $4403 (anticipated starting salary $4003)
