Pay Range: $62,000-88,000
WHAT YOU’LL DO (ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES):
- Application of analytical tools to drive improvement in foam quality and continually achieve variation reduction.
- Perform internal scrap cost analysis and drive scrap cost reduction projects.
- Support Quality Technicians with addressing production issues and improvement opportunities via problem solving techniques.
- Participate in New product/process development, qualification, and establishment of “Safe Launch” Plans.
- Track, Report, and drive improvement in direct material suppliers to improve incoming quality performance.
- Performs product inspection and audits products and/or systems for conformance to standard.
- Performs weekly CTQ audit and reporting to drive continual improvement.
- Facilitate best practices benchmarking between TPVA, TPNM, TPIN and other facilities.
- Assists in problem investigation and resolution.
- Periodically support the laboratory including, performing laboratory tests, and/or experiments following established procedures or protocols while operating requisite laboratory equipment and instruments; records data; maintains and makes minor adjustments to equipment.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED (QUALIFICATIONS):
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and 1-2 years directly related experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Business acumen, will act as business partner to Operations
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
- Advanced knowledge of PC usage required to include using the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Demonstrated experience in 5S, Lean and Six Sigma principles. Green Belt preferred, or ability to obtain within the first year of employment.
- Minitab or JMP experience preferred.
