Job Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for the management of manufacturing processes at the assigned facility. Provides leadership and direction for team members to accomplish training objectives, meet production schedules in a high quality, safe manner, facilitates problem solving and decision making. Promotes a high level of teamwork both on and between shifts as well as between departments. Responsible for maintaining records to comply with company procedures and apply policies and rules in a fair manner while fostering a participative, yet structured environment.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Actively supports and participates in employee teams and problem-solving groups; serves as a facilitator, when needed, to maintain the group’s focus and provide the necessary resources
- Set expectations to provide clear, consistent direction related to safety requirements from CCM leadership
- Participates in safety meetings. Partners with EHS Teams to implement required safety initiatives and training. Conducts accident and near miss investigations, confirm incident reports are completed, accurate, and timely
- Supports the operations manager with contributions towards the plant’s cost reduction goals through awareness, spend control, and idea generation
- Facilitate decision making and problem-solving processes to foster a more participative and committed approach to the operations, addressing quality concerns/customer complaints
- Works to identify where Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) need to be developed. Ensuring that SOPs are followed and recommended for improvement are vetted and implemented when appropriate
- Possesses working knowledge of the manufacturing process
- Provides leadership and direction to production personnel to meet the desired output
- Acts as backup for operations manager when required, due to vacation, offsite meetings, and absenteeism
- Uniformly enforces and applies company policies and procedures to maintain fair and consistent work practices
- Provides input and seeks clarification where necessary to ensure that adequate communication and understanding is occurring
- Provides honest, objective feedback to team members so they clearly understand company expectations and potential development opportunities
- Maintains shift personnel records as required
- Initiate work assignments to address training needs required to ensure production goals can be met with qualified personnel
- Manages team to minimize defects and rework
- Plays a central leadership role in the deployment, sustainment, and training of the Carlisle Operating System (COS) across the site. This includes leveraging Continuous Improvement Leadership behaviors and processes (ex. MDI), COS tools (ex. SQDC Boardwalks, Kaizen), and daily coaching with the production team
- Coaches and encourages crews to identify and implement such opportunities
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Familiar with day-to-day manufacturing activities and positions on the production floor
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and problem-solving tools
- Ability to quickly identify safety concerns and address with necessary team members
- Strong interpersonal skills with colleagues and direct reports
- Strong MS Office and ERP skills, SAP preferred
Education And Experience
- Required:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field required
- Experience: 5 years in a manufacturing environment with demonstrated leadership abilities
- Metal fabrication environment preferred
Working Conditions
- Manufacturing facility with exposure to varying temperatures and dust.
- Hours Worked: Monday – Friday. Shift:
- Flexible to the possibility of overtime and weekend hours when required.

This role is performed onsite at our facility located at 6198 W Airport Blvd, Greenfield, IN 46140. As a Production Supervisor, you will be entitled to the following:
- The Salary Range for this position is $58,754.00 to $105,757.00. The final base compensation offered is based on educational achievements, professional experience, other qualifying factors & skillsets, and internal equity. While Carlisle Companies Inc is committed to Pay Transparency with this range, understand that candidates should not necessarily expect to see an offer near the top end of the posted range.
