These organizations frequently sponsor H-1B visas for security engineers, analysts, and architects with specialized skills in network security, compliance, and risk management.
Which visa types are most common for cybersecurity roles in Kansas?
H-1B visas are the primary sponsorship option for cybersecurity positions in Kansas, particularly for roles requiring bachelor's degrees in computer science, cybersecurity, or related fields. L-1 visas may be available for cybersecurity professionals transferring from international offices of global companies, while O-1 visas could apply to cybersecurity experts with exceptional achievements in information security.

Which Kansas cities have the most cybersecurity sponsorship opportunities?
Wichita and Overland Park offer the highest concentration of cybersecurity visa sponsorship jobs in Kansas. Wichita hosts aerospace companies and government contractors requiring security clearances, while Overland Park benefits from proximity to Kansas City's technology sector. Government contractor positions often provide clear career advancement paths and security clearance opportunities.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored cybersecurity jobs in Kansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
