Which companies in Kansas sponsor visas for project management coordinators?
Spirit AeroSystems, Textron Aviation, and Garmin are among the Kansas employers with documented histories of sponsoring work visas for professional roles including project management coordinators. Large healthcare systems like The University of Kansas Health System and logistics-focused firms in the Kansas City metro area have also filed sponsorship petitions for project coordination positions in recent years.
Which visa types are most common for project management coordinator roles in Kansas?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa category for project management coordinator roles, provided the position requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business administration, engineering, or information systems. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management categories. L-1 visa transfers are another pathway for international candidates already employed by a multinational with a Kansas presence.
How to find project management coordinator visa sponsorship jobs in Kansas?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship status, so you can search project management coordinator openings in Kansas without sifting through roles that don't offer sponsorship. This is particularly useful in Kansas, where sponsoring employers are concentrated in aerospace around Wichita and in the Overland Park technology corridor. Migrate Mate lets you target those employers directly.
Which cities in Kansas have the most project management coordinator sponsorship jobs?
Wichita generates the highest volume of project management coordinator openings in Kansas, driven by its aerospace and advanced manufacturing base. Overland Park and the broader Kansas City metro area represent the second major hub, particularly in technology, financial services, and healthcare. Topeka has a smaller but consistent presence through state government contractors and healthcare organizations.
Are there any state-specific considerations for project management coordinator visa sponsorship in Kansas?
Kansas employers sponsoring H-1B workers must pay the Department of Labor prevailing wage for project management coordinator roles in the specific metropolitan area, which differs between Wichita, Kansas City, and smaller markets. The University of Kansas and Kansas State University both produce graduates who enter project coordination roles, meaning some employers are familiar with OPT and STEM OPT timelines as a bridge before H-1B sponsorship.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project management coordinator jobs in Kansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
