Which companies sponsor visas for service coordinators in Kansas?
Healthcare employers are the most active sponsors for service coordinator roles in Kansas. The University of Kansas Health System, Stormont Vail Health, and Via Christi Health have histories of H-1B sponsorship for care coordination positions. Large human services organizations and nonprofits operating statewide also sponsor periodically, though sponsorship availability depends on the specific role, budget cycle, and whether the position meets specialty occupation requirements.
Which visa types are most common for service coordinator roles in Kansas?
The H-1B is the most common visa for service coordinators in Kansas, particularly for roles requiring a bachelor's degree in social work, healthcare administration, or a related field. Some positions within academic medical centers may qualify under H-1B cap-exempt filings. TN visas are an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying occupations. O-1 visas are rarely applicable to this role category.
Which cities in Kansas have the most service coordinator sponsorship jobs?
Wichita and the Kansas City metro area (including Overland Park and Olathe) concentrate the most service coordinator sponsorship opportunities in Kansas. Wichita anchors the state's largest healthcare network and social services infrastructure. The Kansas City corridor benefits from proximity to a major metropolitan labor market, with hospital systems, managed care organizations, and community health programs regularly hiring coordinators with visa sponsorship needs.
How to find service coordinator visa sponsorship jobs in Kansas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters service coordinator roles in Kansas by visa sponsorship availability, saving you from sorting through postings that won't support work authorization. Kansas employers in healthcare and social services tend to post coordinator openings on a rolling basis, so checking Migrate Mate regularly gives you visibility into new listings as they appear without wading through roles that don't sponsor.
Are there any state-specific considerations for service coordinator roles and visa sponsorship in Kansas?
Kansas service coordinator roles tied to Medicaid waiver programs or state-funded disability services often require familiarity with Kansas-specific case management systems, which can factor into how employers assess international candidates. Prevailing wage requirements under H-1B rules apply statewide, and the Department of Labor sets wage levels by occupation and geographic area. Roles at KU Medical Center or other research-affiliated institutions may qualify for cap-exempt H-1B filings, which avoid the annual lottery.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored service coordinator jobs in Kansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
