Which companies sponsor visas for service coordinators in Rhode Island?
Healthcare systems including Lifespan Health System and Care New England have sponsored work visas for care coordination roles. Nonprofit organizations such as the Rhode Island Department of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities and Hospitals-affiliated providers, and community action agencies also appear in federal LCA disclosure data as sponsors. Larger home health agencies operating statewide are another consistent source of sponsorship for service coordinator positions.
Which visa types are most common for service coordinator roles in Rhode Island?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa category for service coordinators when the role requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as social work, human services, or healthcare administration and qualifies as a specialty occupation. Some positions, particularly in nonprofit or educational settings, may be filed under H-1B cap-exempt status if the employer qualifies. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in eligible professional categories.
Which cities in Rhode Island have the most service coordinator sponsorship jobs?
Providence concentrates the largest share of service coordinator openings due to its density of hospitals, social service agencies, and nonprofit organizations. Cranston and Woonsocket also generate consistent demand, largely through behavioral health providers and community-based service agencies. Pawtucket and East Providence, both home to health and human services employers, round out the main hiring areas for internationally sponsored candidates in this role.
How to find service coordinator visa sponsorship jobs in Rhode Island?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find service coordinator roles in Rhode Island where employers are actively open to visa sponsorship. The platform filters jobs specifically for internationally qualified candidates, so you're not sorting through listings that exclude sponsorship. Searching by role and state surfaces positions from healthcare networks, nonprofits, and community services organizations that have a documented history of sponsoring visas for service coordinators in Rhode Island.
Are there state-specific factors that affect visa sponsorship for service coordinators in Rhode Island?
Rhode Island's investment in community-based care under Medicaid waiver programs has expanded demand for service coordinators, particularly those supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral health needs. Employers filing H-1B petitions must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements specific to Rhode Island's wage determinations for this occupation. Candidates with credentials in social work or case management from Rhode Island's universities, including Rhode Island College and Providence College, may also appeal to local employers familiar with those programs.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored service coordinator jobs in Rhode Island?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
