Which companies sponsor visas for service coordinators in Texas?
In Texas, visa sponsorship for service coordinators appears most often at large healthcare networks such as HCA Houston Healthcare, UT Southwestern Medical Center, and Baylor Scott and White Health, as well as managed care organizations and disability services agencies. State agencies and federally funded nonprofits serving populations under Medicaid waiver programs also hire service coordinators and have sponsored H-1B visas for qualified international candidates.
Which visa types are most common for service coordinator roles in Texas?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for service coordinator roles that require a bachelor's degree in social work, healthcare administration, or a related field, since the position must qualify as a specialty occupation. Some roles at nonprofit or government-affiliated employers may be cap-exempt. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in eligible professional categories. Each case depends on how the employer and USCIS classify the specific role.
Which cities in Texas have the most service coordinator sponsorship jobs?
Dallas-Fort Worth leads in volume due to its concentration of hospital systems, managed care companies, and large social services organizations. Houston is similarly strong, driven by its healthcare sector and the presence of federally qualified health centers. San Antonio has a notable cluster of military family services and community health organizations that hire service coordinators. Austin is a smaller but growing market, particularly within behavioral health and disability services.
How to find service coordinator visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship, so you can search service coordinator roles in Texas without sorting through employers who won't sponsor. The platform surfaces positions from healthcare systems, social services agencies, and managed care organizations across Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, San Antonio, and Austin. Filtering by location and role on Migrate Mate saves significant time compared to manually verifying sponsorship status employer by employer.
Are there any Texas-specific considerations for service coordinator visa sponsorship?
Texas has a large Medicaid waiver system, including the Home and Community-Based Services program, which funds service coordinator positions at hundreds of local agencies. These roles are often governed by state licensing requirements, and some employers may require or prefer candidates with a Licensed Master Social Worker credential. Employers filing H-1B petitions must pay the Department of Labor prevailing wage for the specific role and county, which varies across Texas metros.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored service coordinator jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
