Which companies sponsor visas for service coordinators in South Carolina?
Healthcare employers including MUSC Health, Prisma Health, and Palmetto Health have histories of sponsoring work visas for clinical and care coordination roles. Managed care organizations and state-contracted disability services providers also appear in Department of Labor LCA filings for service coordinator positions. Sponsorship availability varies by employer and specific role requirements, so confirming directly with each organization's HR team is worthwhile.
Which visa types are most common for service coordinator roles in South Carolina?
The H-1B is the most common visa for service coordinator roles that qualify as specialty occupations, typically requiring a bachelor's degree in social work, health administration, psychology, or a related field. Candidates with certain nationalities may also qualify for TN (Canadians and Mexicans) or E-3 (Australians) visas. Whether a specific service coordinator position qualifies as a specialty occupation depends on the employer's job requirements and USCIS review.
Which cities in South Carolina have the most service coordinator sponsorship jobs?
Columbia, Charleston, and Greenville account for most service coordinator hiring in South Carolina. Columbia is home to state government health agencies and large hospital systems. Charleston concentrates academic medical and social services employers near MUSC Health. Greenville has grown as a healthcare hub in the Upstate region. Smaller markets like Spartanburg and Myrtle Beach have limited but occasional openings with sponsoring employers.
How to find service coordinator visa sponsorship jobs in South Carolina?
Migrate Mate filters service coordinator jobs in South Carolina specifically to employers open to visa sponsorship, saving time that would otherwise go toward screening roles that don't support international candidates. You can browse current openings by city or employer type on Migrate Mate. Service coordinator positions in healthcare and disability services tend to have the most consistent sponsorship activity in this state.
What should international candidates know about service coordinator roles in South Carolina?
South Carolina service coordinator positions in healthcare and disability services often require state-recognized credentials or licensure, such as a Qualified Developmental Disabilities Professional designation or a social work license, which can affect visa petition eligibility. Employers filing H-1B petitions must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements for the Columbia or Charleston metropolitan areas, which differ from national averages. Confirming licensing requirements before applying avoids delays in the sponsorship process.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored service coordinator jobs in South Carolina?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
