Which companies sponsor visas for service coordinators in New Jersey?
Healthcare systems and managed care organizations are the most active sponsors in New Jersey. RWJBarnabas Health, Hackensack Meridian Health, Atlantic Health System, and Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield have sponsored international workers in coordination and care management roles. Nonprofit social services agencies and developmental disability providers, including those contracted through the NJ Division of Developmental Disabilities, also appear in sponsorship records for service coordinator positions.
Which visa types are most common for service coordinator roles in New Jersey?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for service coordinator roles classified as specialty occupations, typically requiring a bachelor's degree in social work, healthcare administration, or a related field. Some positions qualify under the TN visa for Canadian and Mexican nationals in eligible professional categories. Employers in nonprofit and government-contracted social services may also use J-1 exchange visitor programs for certain roles, though sponsorship pathways vary by employer and specific job duties.
Which cities in New Jersey have the most service coordinator sponsorship jobs?
Newark and Jersey City see the highest concentration of service coordinator openings due to their large healthcare infrastructure and dense populations requiring care coordination services. Trenton has notable activity given its proximity to state government agencies and nonprofit contractors. Edison and Camden also appear regularly, driven by hospital systems and community health organizations serving diverse, underserved populations that generate sustained demand for multilingual service coordinators.
How to find service coordinator visa sponsorship jobs in New Jersey?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship eligibility, making it easier to identify service coordinator roles in New Jersey where employers are actively willing to sponsor. Rather than sorting through general job postings, you can browse roles confirmed to include sponsorship, narrowing results to New Jersey's healthcare, social services, and managed care sectors where demand for service coordinators is strongest.
Are there state-specific considerations for service coordinator sponsorship in New Jersey?
New Jersey's Division of Developmental Disabilities licenses and oversees many service coordinator positions, meaning some roles require state-specific credentials that can affect how employers structure job requirements for H-1B petitions. Prevailing wage determinations for DOL-certified positions follow Bureau of Labor Statistics data for the Newark-Jersey City metropolitan area, which is one of the higher-wage regions in the country, a factor employers weigh when deciding whether to sponsor.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored service coordinator jobs in New Jersey?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
