Success in this role will be measured by the candidate’s ability to deliver a clear, prioritized roadmap; improve adoption of pricing tools and insights; accelerate decision-making for business partners; and help scale pricing capabilities that improve customer, operational, and financial outcomes. While deep subject matter expertise in every pricing, ML, or AI domain is not required, the ability to partner effectively with research scientists, data scientists, ML engineers, and business stakeholders is critical.
The ideal candidate is a strong product leader with a customer-first mindset, deep analytical judgment, technical fluency, and the ability to simplify complex pricing, ML, and AI concepts for both business and technical audiences.
What You’ll Do
- Own and evolve the Pricing Data Science and AI product roadmap, including annual and quarterly planning, prioritization, and roadmap reviews.
- Translate pricing strategy, customer needs, and business opportunities into clear product requirements, success measures, milestones, and delivery plans.
- Partner with Data Science, ML and Data Engineering, Analytics, Product/Technology, Merchandising, and Pricing teams to develop and scale pricing capabilities.
- Lead product planning for capabilities such as pricing optimization, competitive matching, price elasticity forecasting, decision support, and GenAI-enabled workflows.
- Drive adoption of AI-enabled pricing tools, automated insights, self-service analytics, and leadership-ready business narratives.
- Define prioritization frameworks that balance customer impact, business value, technical feasibility, operational complexity, and stakeholder needs.
- Develop clear roadmap updates and product narratives for MBRs, roadmap reviews, OP1 planning, and leadership forums with established success metrics and feedback loops.
- Create or guide enablement materials, documentation, and training plans to help teams use pricing tools, data science outputs, and AI-enabled workflows effectively.
What You’ll Need
- 6+ years of experience in product management, technical product management, or product-adjacent roles working with analytical, data-driven, technical, retail, e-commerce, pricing, or business operations teams.
- 3+ years of experience partnering with data science, machine learning, AI, analytics, pricing, or technically complex data product teams.
- Experience owning or leading product roadmaps for complex, cross-functional products, platforms, tools, or capabilities.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to connect pricing, customer experience, profitability, operational execution, and technical feasibility.
- Ability to translate ambiguous business problems into clear product requirements, prioritization decisions, delivery plans, and measurable outcomes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to simplify complex technical concepts and influence across business and technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with pricing, revenue management, competitive intelligence, promotion, demand elasticity, or optimization products.
- Experience with GenAI, LLMs, AI agents, knowledge management tools, or AI-enabled analytics workflows.
- Experience with experimentation, A/B testing, causal inference, measurement design, or model evaluation.
- Experience with SQL, Python, Tableau, AWS, Spark, Hadoop, or similar analytics/data tools.
- MBA, Master’s degree, advanced degree, or equivalent experience in Business, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

Which companies sponsor visas for director, product management roles in Massachusetts?
Several large employers in Massachusetts have established records of sponsoring visas for senior product roles. HubSpot, Wayfair, Fidelity Investments, athenahealth, Rapid7, and Biogen have all filed Labor Condition Applications for product management positions. Enterprise software, biotech, and financial services companies tend to have dedicated immigration support teams, making them more likely to sponsor at the director level than early-stage startups.
Which visa types are most common for director, product management roles in Massachusetts?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for director, product management roles in Massachusetts, as the position typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a related field. The O-1A is an option for candidates with demonstrated extraordinary achievement. Australians may qualify for the E-3 visa, and Canadian and Mexican nationals can explore the TN visa under the engineer or management consultant category where applicable.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most director, product management sponsorship jobs?
Boston and Cambridge account for the overwhelming majority of director, product management sponsorship opportunities in Massachusetts. The Seaport District and Kendall Square in Cambridge are particularly concentrated with tech and biotech employers. Waltham and Burlington also host significant product leadership roles, particularly from mid-size enterprise software and life sciences companies that have established suburban campuses along Route 128.
How to find director, product management visa sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for visa sponsorship eligibility, making it easier to identify director, product management roles in Massachusetts where employers are open to sponsoring international candidates. Rather than sorting through general job boards and guessing at sponsorship willingness, Migrate Mate surfaces positions from companies with active sponsorship histories, saving significant time for senior product professionals at this stage of their search.
Are there any state-specific considerations for director, product management visa sponsorship in Massachusetts?
Massachusetts employers filing H-1B Labor Condition Applications must meet prevailing wage requirements set by the Department of Labor for the Boston-Cambridge metropolitan area, which reflects the region's high cost of living. The state's dense university ecosystem, including MIT, Harvard, and Northeastern, creates a strong pipeline of international talent, meaning many Massachusetts employers already have immigration infrastructure in place for sponsoring senior hires.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored director, product management jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
