Which companies sponsor visas for account executives in Michigan?
Michigan's largest visa sponsors for account executive roles include Rocket Companies and its affiliated brands in Detroit, along with enterprise software firms and healthcare organizations headquartered in Grand Rapids and Ann Arbor. Automotive suppliers such as Gentex and Stryker (headquartered in Kalamazoo) have also filed H-1B Labor Condition Applications for sales-adjacent roles. Sponsorship activity is concentrated in financial services, health tech, and B2B software companies.
Which visa types are most common for account executive roles in Michigan?
The H-1B is the most common visa for account executive roles in Michigan, provided the position qualifies as a specialty occupation, typically requiring a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. The TN visa is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying business roles. The L-1B visa applies when an international employee transfers to a Michigan office from an overseas employer within the same company.
Which cities in Michigan have the most account executive sponsorship jobs?
Detroit and its suburbs, including Troy, Southfield, and Dearborn, account for the largest share of account executive sponsorship jobs in Michigan, driven by the concentration of financial services, automotive, and technology firms. Grand Rapids is a growing hub, particularly in healthcare and manufacturing technology sales. Ann Arbor attracts enterprise software and life sciences employers that regularly hire international sales professionals.
How to find account executive visa sponsorship jobs in Michigan?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find account executive visa sponsorship jobs in Michigan. The platform filters jobs specifically by sponsorship availability, so you can browse Michigan-based account executive openings without manually researching each employer's immigration history. This is especially useful for identifying mid-market employers in sectors like health tech and automotive software that sponsor less visibly than large enterprise companies.
Are there state-specific considerations for account executive visa sponsorship in Michigan?
Michigan's automotive and financial services industries create strong demand for B2B account executives, which can support specialty occupation arguments for H-1B eligibility when the role involves complex enterprise sales requiring degree-level knowledge. Michigan State University and the University of Michigan produce international graduates who pursue OPT extensions in sales roles before seeking full sponsorship. Employers in Detroit's tech corridor have become more active sponsors as the city's startup and fintech sectors have expanded.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored account executive jobs in Michigan?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
