Utility Services Care Coordinators are responsible for facilitating intake activities with Michigan Energy Assistance Program (MEAP) and Water Residential Assistance Program (WRAP) applicants, conducting enrollment, processing applications, and ensuring compliance with all program requirements.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Connect daily with MEAP and WRAP applicants to facilitate intake and enrollment activities.
- Provide outstanding customer service by answering applicant calls and addressing questions.
- Refer applicants to success planning appointments when applicable.
- Collect and verify all required documentation from applicants.
- Accurately enter applicant data into the database with a high degree of precision.
- Provide validation support for agency-submitted Low-Income Self-Sufficiency Plan (LSP) applications.
- Process MEAP and WRAP applications submitted by applicants through the online portal.
- Conduct LSP coordination training for internal teams and partner staff.
- Support additional activities related to MEAP, WRAP, or cross-functional initiatives as needed.

- A high school diploma or college degree with some social services coursework
- A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in customer service or similar work environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Teams
