Job Overview

Were seeking a Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our insurance agency team. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for clients, handling inquiries via phone, email, or chat. You'll assist with policy changes, explain coverage, manage renewals and cancellations, support billing and payments, and ensure all client needs are met. This role also offers opportunities to earn commissions and performance-based bonuses.

Salary Range: $3,100.00 - $5,100.00 per month

Requirements

• Active Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance license, or willingness to obtain one within 14 days of hire
• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
• Previous customer service or sales experience preferred, insurance industry experience a plus
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities
• Proficient with computers, email, and general office software
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-up skills
• Positive, team-oriented attitude with a strong work ethic
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work standard business hours (Monday–Friday)

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls, emails, and walk-in inquiries from current and prospective clients in a professional, friendly manner
• Process policy changes, endorsements, and renewals accurately and in a timely manner
• Assist clients with billing questions, payment processing, and account updates
• Review coverage with clients and identify opportunities for additional products (auto, home, life, umbrella, etc.)
• Handle first notice of loss (FNOL) and guide clients through the initial claims process
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in the agency management system
• Follow up on outstanding documentation needed for underwriting (e.g., inspections, verification letters, signed forms)
• Support the agent and sales team with quoting, cross-selling, and account rounding
• Ensure compliance with state insurance regulations and company policies
• Provide a positive client experience that supports retention and referrals
