SUMMARY
The Warehouse Material Handler role supports the tactical routine maintenance refining warehouse inventory on site. This position will require the successful candidate to learn and apply the Marathon Inventory Management System and SAP as well as learn and follow Marathon Warehouse PMI Procedures, DOT, and IATA Shipping Regulations. The support position is on a shift day schedule and has voluntary overtime potential to support our customer requirements outside of a standard work schedule. This position is a 4/10 schedule Monday through Thursday 7:00am-5:30pm. Warehouse Material Handlers report to the Warehouse Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- The individual must emphasize on a high level of professional customer service to MPC maintenance, operations, and contractor personnel.
- This position supports the tactical data processing throughout the ERP system, in an accurate, safe, and timely manner.
- Maintain knowledge of the business units being supported and understand the relative importance of materials and equipment required to be managed as warehouse inventory or staged materials for routine Maintenance and/or Turnarounds.
- Utilize SAP Material Management (MM) Module.
- Advise and assist stakeholders in locating and retrieving materials held within SAP MM module. Execute warehouse material movements in SAP, following company policy and procedures, including material issue and receipt records.
- Identify and notify the Procurement Associate/Buyer if the material does not conform to specifications and assist in resolving any issues.
- Perform warehouse operations and work in conjunction with the Warehouse Manager and the designated Buyer(s) to meet established target inventory levels and customer demand.
- Requires safe routine operation of equipment such as pick-up truck, forklift, pallet jacks, counterbalance truck etc.
- Conduct physical inventory counts/audits to ensure accurate stock levels are maintained when storing and retrieving material from warehouse locations.
- Follow all safe work practices.
REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED required.
Entry Level experience (1-3 years)
Must be able to individually lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to pass Forklift certification test.
Must be able to successfully obtain a CDL driver’s license with a HAZMAT and complete the Warehouse Knowledge Performance Checklist (KPC), within 6 months of CDL Training offering.
Must obtain Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) driver qualification as part of the onboarding process.
Experience and knowledge with SAP, Passport-Learning, and Microsoft preferred.
