Which staffing companies sponsor visas in Michigan?
Major staffing firms like Kelly Services (headquartered in Troy), Manpower, Robert Half, and Randstad have sponsored H-1B visa and other visas for Michigan positions. Regional players like Compunnel and Judge Group also sponsor visas for specialized roles in Detroit's automotive sector and Grand Rapids' manufacturing hub. Many focus on IT, engineering, and healthcare recruiting.
How to find staffing visa sponsorship jobs in Michigan?
Use Migrate Mate to search specifically for staffing positions in Michigan that offer visa sponsorship. Focus on Detroit, Grand Rapids, and Ann Arbor where most opportunities exist. Target roles like Technical Recruiter, Account Manager, and Business Development positions at companies with established H-1B sponsorship histories in Michigan's automotive and healthcare recruiting markets.
Which visa types are most common for staffing roles in Michigan?
H-1B visas dominate for specialized staffing roles like Technical Recruiters and Account Managers requiring bachelor's degrees. TN visas work for Canadian and Mexican nationals in management positions. O-1 visas occasionally apply for senior consultants with exceptional recruiting expertise. Some entry-level coordinator positions may qualify for J-1 visa training programs.
Which Michigan cities have the most staffing sponsorship jobs?
Detroit leads with positions at major automotive recruiting firms and healthcare staffing companies. Grand Rapids follows with manufacturing and medical device recruiting roles. Ann Arbor offers opportunities with university-connected firms and tech recruiting. Troy, Southfield, and Novi also host significant staffing operations serving Michigan's diverse industrial base.
What prevailing wage considerations affect staffing visa sponsorship in Michigan?
Michigan's prevailing wages for staffing professionals vary significantly between metro areas, with Detroit commanding higher rates than smaller cities. Technical recruiters specializing in automotive engineering or healthcare face different wage requirements than general staffing coordinators. The state's lower cost of living compared to coastal markets can make visa sponsorship more financially viable for employers.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored staffing jobs in Michigan?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
