Which staffing companies sponsor H-1B visas in California?
Major staffing firms including Robert Half, Aerotek, Kelly Services, and Randstad have sponsored H-1B visas for recruiting and account management roles in California. Tech-focused staffing companies like Insight Global and Apex Systems also sponsor visas for technical recruiters. Many of these companies have multiple California offices and actively hire international talent for senior recruiting positions.
What visa types are most common for staffing jobs in California?
H-1B visas are most common for staffing roles requiring specialized knowledge, particularly for senior recruiters, business development managers, and client relationship specialists. TN visas work for Canadian and Mexican nationals in professional recruiting roles. Some companies also sponsor O-1 visas for recruiting executives with extraordinary achievements in talent acquisition or business development.
Which California cities have the most staffing visa sponsorship opportunities?
San Francisco and Los Angeles offer the highest concentration of sponsored staffing positions, driven by dense business markets and tech industry demand. Orange County, particularly Irvine, hosts many corporate recruiting centers. San Diego and Sacramento also provide opportunities, especially for healthcare and government contract staffing. Silicon Valley companies frequently need specialized tech recruiters.
How to find staffing visa sponsorship jobs in California?
Use Migrate Mate to browse staffing positions from companies with proven H-1B sponsorship history in California. Focus on larger staffing firms and their corporate recruiting divisions, which typically have established visa processes. Target roles like Senior Recruiter, Account Manager, or Business Development Representative that demonstrate specialized skills beyond basic recruiting functions.
What should I know about prevailing wages for sponsored staffing roles in California?
California's high cost of living results in some of the nation's highest prevailing wage requirements for H-1B positions. Sponsored staffing roles typically require demonstrating specialized recruiting expertise, industry knowledge, or advanced degrees. Focus on senior-level positions or specialized recruiting areas like tech, healthcare, or executive search where wage requirements align with visa sponsorship economics.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored staffing jobs in California?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
