Which staffing companies sponsor visas in Oregon?
Robert Half, Kelly Services, Aerotek, and TEKsystems are among the largest staffing companies in Oregon that regularly sponsor work visas. These firms typically sponsor H-1B visas for specialized recruiting roles, account management positions, and business development professionals. Portland-based companies like Addison Group and local boutique staffing firms also sponsor visas for senior-level positions requiring specific industry expertise or advanced degrees.
How to find staffing visa sponsorship jobs in Oregon?
Use Migrate Mate to search specifically for staffing companies in Oregon that sponsor work visas. Focus your search on Portland metro area where most major staffing firms have operations, including downtown Portland, Beaverton, and Lake Oswego. Many Oregon staffing companies sponsor H-1B visas for specialized recruiting roles in tech, healthcare, and engineering sectors where local talent shortages create sponsorship opportunities.
Which visa types are most common for staffing roles in Oregon?
H-1B visas dominate staffing sponsorship in Oregon, particularly for specialized recruiting roles in tech, healthcare, and engineering. TN visas are common for Canadian and Mexican professionals in account management and business development roles. Some companies sponsor L-1 visas for internal transfers of experienced recruiting managers, while O-1 visas are rare and typically reserved for senior executives with exceptional track records in talent acquisition.
Which Oregon cities have the most staffing sponsorship opportunities?
Portland leads Oregon's staffing visa sponsorship market, with most major firms concentrated in downtown Portland, the Pearl District, and nearby Beaverton. Eugene offers opportunities with healthcare-focused staffing companies serving the University of Oregon and local medical centers. Salem has fewer options but some government contractor staffing firms. Bend's growing tech scene creates limited but emerging staffing sponsorship opportunities.
What prevailing wage considerations affect staffing jobs in Oregon?
Oregon's prevailing wages for H-1B sponsored staffing roles vary significantly between Portland metro and rural areas. Portland's competitive tech market drives higher prevailing wages for technical recruiting specialists, while healthcare staffing roles benefit from Oregon's strong medical sector presence. The state's lack of sales tax can make total compensation packages more attractive, and proximity to Washington's tech hub creates cross-border recruiting opportunities.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored staffing jobs in Oregon?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
