Which companies sponsor visas for director of program management roles in Missouri?
Boeing in St. Louis has a long history of sponsoring H-1B visas for senior program management positions, particularly in aerospace and defense programs. Centene Corporation and Express Scripts (Cigna) in the St. Louis metro also appear regularly in DOL disclosure data for program director-level roles. Kansas City employers including Cerner (now Oracle Health) and Burns & McDonnell have similarly sponsored international candidates at the director level.
Which visa types are most common for director of program management roles in Missouri?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for director of program management positions in Missouri, as these roles consistently qualify as specialty occupations requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Candidates already holding L-1A intracompany transferee status are another significant group, particularly those moving into director roles within multinationals like Boeing or Oracle Health that have established global operations.
Which cities in Missouri have the most director of program management sponsorship jobs?
St. Louis generates the largest share of director of program management sponsorship activity in Missouri, driven by its aerospace, healthcare, and financial services sectors. Kansas City is the second strongest market, with demand coming from technology, infrastructure, and utilities employers. Columbia sees some activity tied to the University of Missouri health system and affiliated research operations, though at a smaller scale than the two major metros.
How to find director of program management visa sponsorship jobs in Missouri?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship and filters director of program management roles by state, making it straightforward to browse Missouri opportunities without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. Because director-level roles in Missouri tend to move quickly, particularly in aerospace and healthcare IT, setting up alerts on Migrate Mate for this role in Missouri helps ensure you see new postings early in the hiring cycle.
Are there any Missouri-specific considerations for director of program management candidates seeking sponsorship?
Missouri's dominant sponsoring industries, aerospace in St. Louis and healthcare IT in Kansas City, both have clearance or compliance components that can affect sponsorship timelines. Boeing roles, for example, may require security clearance eligibility, which limits sponsorship to candidates who are eligible regardless of citizenship. Missouri has no state-level immigration requirements, but candidates should expect that director-level H-1B petitions in these sectors often come with detailed specialty occupation documentation given USCIS scrutiny of senior management titles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored director of program management jobs in Missouri?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
