Which companies in Nebraska sponsor visas for product engineering managers?
Omaha-based employers with established immigration programs include Union Pacific, Fiserv, First Data, and Sandhills Global. Nebraska Medicine and CHI Health sponsor engineering leadership roles on the healthcare technology side. Larger financial services and logistics technology firms in Nebraska are more likely to have dedicated HR and legal resources to manage H-1B sponsorship for senior product engineering manager positions.
Which visa types are most common for product engineering manager roles in Nebraska?
The H-1B is the most common visa for product engineering managers in Nebraska, as the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, computer science, or a related field. Candidates already holding L-1A status through a multinational transfer may also transition into these roles. O-1 visas apply for candidates with demonstrated extraordinary ability in engineering or product leadership.
How to find product engineering manager visa sponsorship jobs in Nebraska?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to identify product engineering manager openings in Nebraska where employers have indicated willingness to sponsor. Rather than sorting through general job postings, Migrate Mate surfaces roles from Nebraska employers in fintech, logistics technology, and healthcare IT that have active sponsorship programs for senior engineering management candidates.
Which cities in Nebraska have the most product engineering manager sponsorship jobs?
Omaha accounts for the large majority of Nebraska's product engineering manager sponsorship activity, driven by its concentration of financial services technology companies and corporate headquarters. Lincoln sees a smaller but consistent share of openings, particularly from technology firms and university-adjacent employers. Outside these two cities, sponsorship opportunities for this senior-level role are limited.
Are there state-specific considerations for product engineering managers pursuing sponsorship in Nebraska?
Nebraska employers sponsoring H-1B workers must pay the prevailing wage as determined by the Department of Labor for the Omaha or Lincoln metropolitan areas, which differ from coastal markets. The University of Nebraska system produces a consistent pipeline of engineering talent, meaning some employers have established immigration sponsorship workflows. Candidates should confirm that a prospective employer has prior H-1B sponsorship experience before accepting an offer, as smaller Nebraska companies may lack in-house immigration counsel.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product engineering manager jobs in Nebraska?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
