Which education companies sponsor F-1 STEM OPT visas in New Hampshire?
In New Hampshire, education-sector F-1 STEM OPT sponsorship is most common among research universities such as Dartmouth College and the University of New Hampshire, as well as edtech companies operating out of Manchester and Nashua. These employers tend to file for roles in data analytics, instructional design technology, and educational software development, where STEM designation applies under the qualifying CIP codes.
Which cities in New Hampshire have the most education F-1 STEM OPT sponsorship jobs?
Manchester and Nashua hold the highest concentration of education-sector employers with STEM OPT sponsorship history in New Hampshire, driven by edtech and educational software firms based there. Hanover, home to Dartmouth College, and Durham, home to the University of New Hampshire, also generate sponsorship activity, particularly for research, data science, and learning technology roles tied to academic institutions.
What types of education roles typically qualify for F-1 STEM OPT sponsorship?
Roles that qualify for F-1 STEM OPT sponsorship in the education industry are those classified under STEM-designated CIP codes, meaning your degree field must match the role. In education, this typically covers instructional technology specialists, data analysts supporting student outcomes research, educational software engineers, and learning analytics roles. Purely administrative or teaching-only positions generally do not carry STEM OPT eligibility.
How do I find education F-1 STEM OPT sponsorship jobs in New Hampshire?
Migrate Mate filters education jobs in New Hampshire specifically for F-1 STEM OPT eligibility, surfacing employers with verified sponsorship filing history. Because STEM OPT requires both a qualifying role and a matching STEM-designated degree, Migrate Mate's search helps you identify New Hampshire education employers whose open roles align with your CIP code, saving significant research time compared to reviewing individual employer LCA records manually.
Are there state-specific or industry-specific considerations for F-1 STEM OPT sponsorship in New Hampshire's education sector?
New Hampshire's education sector is smaller than neighboring Massachusetts, so the pool of active STEM OPT sponsors is more concentrated. Employers here often require E-Verify enrollment as a condition of STEM OPT participation, which most university research offices and established edtech firms already maintain. F-1 students should also confirm their degree's CIP code qualifies for STEM designation through their DSO before applying, as not all education-related degrees meet the requirement.
