Which companies sponsor visas for licensed practical nurses in New Hampshire?
The most active sponsors for LPN roles in New Hampshire include Dartmouth Health (which operates multiple facilities across the state), Concord Hospital, Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, and Catholic Medical Center in Manchester. Long-term care operators and skilled nursing facilities, including those under national chains, have also filed LCA and H-1B petitions for LPN positions in recent years, particularly in the Lakes Region and Seacoast areas.
Which visa types are most common for licensed practical nurse roles in New Hampshire?
H-1B sponsorship for LPN roles is limited because many LPN positions are classified as non-specialty occupations under USCIS standards. Employers more commonly sponsor internationally trained nurses through EB-3 immigrant visa pathways, which allow permanent residency sponsorship for skilled workers. Some LPNs working in New Hampshire also enter on TN visas if they hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship and meet the specific credential requirements under USMCA.
Which cities in New Hampshire have the most licensed practical nurse sponsorship jobs?
Manchester is the largest city in New Hampshire and has the highest concentration of LPN employer activity, anchored by Catholic Medical Center and several long-term care facilities. Concord, as the state capital, hosts Concord Hospital and affiliated clinics. The Seacoast corridor, including Dover, Portsmouth, and Exeter, has consistent LPN demand driven by Wentworth-Douglass Hospital and Exeter Health Resources. Nashua also sees steady hiring through Southern New Hampshire Medical Center.
How to find licensed practical nurse visa sponsorship jobs in New Hampshire?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to find LPN roles in New Hampshire where employers are actively willing to sponsor. Because LPN sponsorship is less common than for registered nurses, filtering by role and state together saves significant time. Migrate Mate also surfaces positions from health systems and long-term care operators across Manchester, Concord, and the Seacoast region that include sponsorship in their hiring criteria.
Are there state-specific considerations for LPN visa sponsorship in New Hampshire?
New Hampshire requires LPNs to hold an active license from the New Hampshire Board of Nursing, which involves passing the NCLEX-PN exam. International applicants must have their foreign nursing credentials evaluated for equivalency before licensure. New Hampshire participates in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC), so nurses holding a multistate license from another compact state can work in New Hampshire without obtaining a separate state license, which can simplify job transitions for sponsored workers already working elsewhere in the U.S.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored licensed practical nurse jobs in New Hampshire?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
